Blowers also can use Vacuum Pump Oil Mist Filters?

The oil mist at the exhaust port of the vacuum pump is a problem that oil sealed vacuum pump users must solve, and we all know that this requires the installation of an oil mist filter. However, the issue of oil mist is not unique to oil sealed vacuum pumps. For example, high-pressure blowers may also need to filter oil mist, but at their intake ports! As shown in the figure below, when oil is burned at the bottom of the container, the blower will suck up the oil mist. So we install the oil mist filter (usually used at the outlet port) in the inlet port.

A real case of a mold factory. During CNC machining, specialized cutting fluids are used to cool and clean the cutting tools and workpieces. When cutting fluid comes into contact with high-temperature cutting tools and workpieces, it will quickly vaporize and produce oil mist, which will affect the continued processing of the machine tool, so it needs to be removed.

Due to the lack of vacuum requirements for CNC machining, people usually choose to use high-pressure blowers to inhale these oil mist. However, oil mist is different from ordinary gases. Oil mist will pollute the blower and shorten the service life of it. Therefore, unlike vacuum pumps, oil mist is not generated by suction equipment and needs to be filtered at the front end of the it. So what filtering device is needed in this situation? In fact, our vacuum pump oil mist filter can also be installed on the intake end of the high-pressure blower to filter oil mist after adjustment.

This is a successful cross field attempt for us. We have been focusing on the research and development of vacuum pump filters for over a decade. During this period, we have found that many companies simultaneously operate vacuum pumps, air compressors, and blowers, so sometimes we also consider understanding and trying to develop filters for the other two types of equipment. But we have decided to specialize in the field of vacuum pumps, and currently we are improving our silencers and gas-liquid separators. Welcome to ask for more information!
