As the saying goes, "cheap goods are not good", although it is not absolutely correct, it does apply to most situations. HIgh-quality vacuum pump filters must be made of good and sufficient raw materials, and may also use sophisticated or advanced technology. Therefore, the higher cost determines that the price cannot be low. The so-called “cheap and fine” must be within a reasonable price range. If the price is too low, then it must sacrifices other aspects.
Many customers do not know the market price of filters. If they are attracted by cheap filters at the beginning, they are likely to be misled. Afterwards, the misled customers look for other suppliers because of quality problems, and choose inferior filters again because of prices. What a vicious circle. Thus, we need to learn more about the market price of the product. Additionally, we can compare the prices of multiple suppliers, and conduct background checks on them before making a choice.
Once, a customer expressed his interest in our oil mist filters, and we introduced them to him in detail. He was satisfied, but was surprised when he saw the price at the end. He said our price was too high. Since our prices are floating according to the order quantity, we planned to ask for the quantity and then give a discount accordingly. Unexpectedly, the customer said, "The filter elements I bought before were only 5 RMB/piece, yours is too expensive." In fact, some foreign customers bargained with us, but the situation where the price difference is too big almost never occurs. Because the price of foreign filter elements is generally high, our price is already very cost-effective. And this customer obviously bought low-quality filters. The amount is not even enough for the cost of our filter material. Our oil mist filter element uses glass fiber fabric imported from Germany, which is even much more expensive than ordinary filter materials. As I said, the price is also a reflection of quality.
In the end, the customer said that he was a dealer and that the key was price not quality. We rejected the deal. Sacrificing reputation for a little money is really not worthy. It is definitely not in line with our business philosophy.
