However, the decrease in air pressure will also lower the boiling point of water. It means that the water is easier to vaporize in vacuum. And then, the vapor will be sucked into the vacuum pump, which may cause the emulsification of the pump oil and the damage of the pump. To solve this problem, we can equip a gas-liquid separator in the inlet port of the vacuum pump. The gas-liquid separators of left picture separate vapor from the air through physical principles, without the need for condensing equipment or coolant.
